'!QuickBooks found a problem with the Acct#, Card#, Note field... for our bank account".  This field contains sensitive information and must be fixed.

We don't know the reason why this error message pops up, but we have an easy fix for this matter.

1. First close all the open windows.
2. Open your chart of accounts.
3. From within this window, select the bank account that gets the error message and choose to edit the account.

When you have the account profile window open, you might notice two things.
- the account is not marked as a sub-account, but the parent account name appears grayed out.
- in the bank account # field, there appears various characters that don't correspond to the real bank acct #.

4. You will need to clear the bank account number field (or enter the correct #).
5. Press Save and Close.
The bank account now appears in your CoA as a main account.

6. Again select to edit this bank account, and now make it a sub-account again.
7. Press Save and Close, and you should be all done.

Try to Write Cheks, or use the Check Register.

If you have multiple accounts that show this error message when trying to make a bank account type transaction, you must repeat the above steps for each account.
